The Autobiography Of Herbert W. Armstrong
                          Audio Book ReadMe File

This CD contains 87 audio files lin MP3 file format providing the audio book version of the Autobiography of Herbert W. Armstrong Volumes 1 and 2.  Each MP3 file is a chapter from the book.  The reader on this audio book is Garland Snuffer.

Your computer will use the Windows Media player or the Real Audio software to play these files.    

The numbering system you will see on these files is my cataloging number for the original master tapes and can generally be ignored.  However you should refer to these numbers if you request tape or audio CDs copies of individual files from me.

MP3 Player information
------------------------------

    For those of you who wish to use these files in an MP3 player such as an iPod, the files have been setup with the following tag values (which you can of course change if you wish).

Genre = Bible Study
Album = Autobiography Of Herbert W. Armstrong
title = chapter contents
Track Number = chapter Number
Artist = Herbert W. Armstrong


 Using the CD
-------------------

    1.  Insert the CD into your computer.

    2.  Wait a few seconds for your system to initialize the CD.  On most PCs running Windows, the index file should open automatically.  If it does, then skip to step 7.  If it does not then follow steps 3 through 6 to open the index file.

    3.  If the index file does not open automatically, then double click on the "my computer" icon on your desktop

    4.  In the window that opens, double click on the drive that contains the CD.

    5.  A window should open showing this ReadMe file and the CD index HTML file and also the audio files themselves.

    6.  Double click on the HTML index file.  This will open your internet browser (but not connect to the internet or use your phone line.)

    7.  Scroll down through the files listed in the index selecting the one you wish to listen to by clicking on the "Play" link above the file description.
